Women's Center


The Women's Center, part of North Hawai'i Health & Wellness at North Hawaii Community Hospital, offers a full spectrum of services for women through every stage of life.

Our Women's Center offers a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and certified nurse midwives to provide obstetric and gynecologic care for women of all ages with an emphasis on education and the combination of traditional and alternative medicine.

Our providers are committed to providing their time, knowledge and support during each visit because we believe in the importance of each interaction in the healing process. Your provider will take the time to listen and assist you with your questions and concerns and is committed to helping you achieve your health goals.

Regina Costantini, MD


Regina Costantini, MD, graduated from medical school at Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed her residency at Maryland General Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland.  She is board certified by the America Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Costantini specializes in the care of women in all stages of life.  In her free time, she enjoys outdoor sports, exploring, and random acts of kindness!



Dorothy Dolhanty, MD


Dr. Dorothy Dolhanty is an ob-gyn with 20 years of experience in the US and Canada including Georgia, Alabama, and Nova Scotia.  She graduated from McMaster Medical School in Ontario, Canada, and completed her residency at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada.  Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Dolhanty has a particular interest in educating patients, especially during menopausal years.

Luisa Lucero, CNM

Certified Nurse Midwife

Luisa Lucero received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northern Arizona University, her master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University, and holds a certificate in midwifery.  Luisa has worked as a labor and delivery and ob-gyn clinic registered nurse for over 15 years, and as a midwife the past three years on Oahu.  Luisa believes in empowerment through education and specializes in breastfeeding support and problem evaluation.   


Jackie Meister, CNM

Certified Nurse Midwife

Jackie Meister holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of New Mexico as well as a master’s degree in nurse midwifery, from Frontier Nursing University.  Her interests include serving culturally diverse populations as well as adolescent health care, especially education and well-woman care for teenagers.



Robin Ramsay, CNM

Certified Nurse Midwife

Robin brings years of prenatal care, delivery, postpartum care, family planning and well-woman gynecology to the Women's Center. Prior to joining the Women's Center in 2003, Robin worked as a certified nurse midwife for almost 10 years, delivering approximately 1,000 babies.    

Robin also specializes in family planning especially for teens, Centering Pregnancy group prenatal care, postpartum care, menopause counseling, and care for women with incontinence and bladder issues.



The Women's Center at North Hawai'i Community Hospital is pleased to offer maternity care to patients from the entire island. Care is provided by a team of obstetricians and certified nurse midwives. This short video, shared by the American College of Nurse-Midwives, explains how certified nurse midwives work in hospitals in collaboration with OB/GYN physicians.
