Doug Hiller, M.D. Named Chief of Staff

Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Doug Hiller, has been elected as NHCH's medical chief of staff for 2012. Dr. Hiller was elected by NHCH’s medical executive committee and ratified by the NHCH board of directors in a recent meeting.  

“As chief of staff, Dr. Hiller is an official member of the NHCH board of directors; as well as responsible for presiding over NHCH’s medical staff meetings, serving as chair of the NHCH medical staff executive committee, acting as liaison between physicians and hospital administrators, interpreting hospital policies to the medical staff and representing the views and polices of the medical staff to the board of directors and CEO,” says Ken Wood, president and CEO for NHCH. 

Dr. Hiller joined NHCH’s Orthopedic Clinic in May of 2011 as an orthopedic surgeon.  Prior to joining NHCH, Dr. Hiller had a private practice in Waimea for over 20 years.  Dr. Hiller is perhaps best known for having served as Chief Physician for the IRONMAN World Championships and Chief Medical Officer for the Olympic Triathlon.  He specializes in foot and ankle care, sports medicine, fracture care; in addition to providing general orthopedic care.
