MOPS Donates Baby Quilt to NHCH Birthing Unit
Posted on Monday, July 25, 2011

MOPS stands for Mothers Of Preschoolers and is an international organization, with a chapter right here on the Big Island in Waikoloa.  Five mothers and their keiki from the Waikoloa MOPS Chapter graciously donated handmade quilts sewed with love and made from their own child’s baby clothing as material.

The Waikoloa MOPs Chapter consists of 30 mom’s and is a place to find friendship, community, resources and support for you as a woman and a mom, so you're not alone. NHCH’s Family Birthing Unit is humbled to accept this donation surrounded by so much love and so many hands.   All five woman representing the Waikoloa MOPS Chapter gave birth to 1 or more of their kids at NHCH’s Birthing Unit.  Each shared their wonderful experiences of giving birth at NHCH from our unique healing environment in our birthing rooms to our unforgettable Family Birthing staff.  We are truly grateful to MOPS for their thoughtful and caring donation.
