The staff at North Hawaii Community Hospital helped patients enjoy the Halloween holiday with a special menu and extra goodies.  Employees put on costumes and visited patients, bringing a bit of cheer to those hospitalized on Halloween.

The Nutritional Services staff served patients a special Halloween-themed menu and created Halloween goody bags customized for each patient's diet. Patients were also treated to a “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” with special healthy Halloween smoothies made and delivered by the hospital’s registered dietitian - pumpkin spice and "Blood Red" berry.

“We are always looking for things we can do for our patients, no matter how small, to help make their stay here better,” said Nutritional Services Manager Angie Koclanes.
