Patients restricted to hospital beds will now have upgraded, high definition entertainment thanks to a donor and a new, high definition cable service.

Gone are the old analog televisions – the hospital’s inpatient rooms are now outfitted with high definition, flat screen televisions thanks to the generosity of a donor.  In addition, the hospital is now offering enhanced programming, the same found in local resorts, with twice the previous number of stations.

“We are happy to be able to offer our patients more choices,” said Service Excellence and Holistic Team Leader Arielle Faith Michael. “Having more programming options and the visual beauty of high definition can really make a difference to a patient by giving them something else to focus on.”

In addition to the expanded cable programming, the hospital will continue to offer its CARE channel (Continuous Ambient Relaxation Environment) that provides peaceful nature scenes with beautiful music for comfort and relaxation, and a new hospital information channel.
