NHCH Manager Receives Prestigious Award

Kim Bastien, RN, Trauma Program Manager, has been presented with the Queen’s Award of Excellence. The Award of Excellence is given to managers within The Queen's Health Systems who display creativity, innovation, and accomplishment. QHS President and CEO Art Ushijima presented the award to Kim at a ceremony at The Queen's Medical Center on Oahu. NHCH President Cindy Kamikawa was present along with NHCH Director of Nursing Julie Stanforth Zanoff and fellow NHCH nurse managers Toni Kalauli and Stephanie Landers.

Kim’s diligence in increasing the standards for trauma care at NHCH played a major role in the hospital receiving its re-designation as a Level III Trauma Center last year. Kim’s hard work, positive attitude, and dedication are recognized and appreciated by all. Congratulations Kim!
